Mr. Innocent Modisaotsile is serving as Officer-in-Charge of the UNFPA South Sudan Country Office. He joins the South Sudan team from his recent role as Representative for UNFPA Lesotho.
Innocent brings over 30 years of leadership experience in the development space, including in policy development, strategic planning, advocacy and championing SRHR, gender equality and health equity.
Within UNFPA, he also served as Officer-in-Charge for UNFPA South Africa; interim Country Director for UNFPA Botswana and Eswatini; as well as SRH/HIV Advisor in the ESA regional office.
Prior to joining UNFPA, Innocent also held leadership roles in the SADC Secretariat; Governments of Botswana and South Africa; as well as UNDP and UNICEF.
