Suzanne Ngo-Mandong was posted as Officer-in-Charge in the UNFPA Office in South Sudan on 30 January 2025. She has over 40 years of experience in the fields of diplomacy and of sexual and reproductive health and rights. She has held various positions with UNFPA, including country leadership ones in Burundi, Eritrea, Uganda, Ethiopia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Her lifelong passion has been about improving, saving and transforming the health and lives of women and girls.
Prior to joining UNFPA in 1992, Ms. Mandong worked for the Cameroon Foreign Service and served in Moscow and New York. She speaks French and English, and is proficient in Russian.
Ms. Mandong holds a Diploma in International Relations and a master’s degree in social sciences from the Long Island University of New York, USA.
